I did IMFlorida in 2003.  At that time we were allowed to swim to the left of the bouys provided we cut in for the turn bouys.  Does anyone know if that is still allowed?  would that be a USAT or IMNA rule identified in the official rules??

It was ok last year because I did it and asked before I did. Just ask before you start. A lot less traffic there. Do you know any contact numbers for race registration. I don't know if you saw in the news about the 7 students who lost there lives in a beach house fire. One was my good friend's son and his funeral is on Thurs. I need to ask for a special wavier to register on Friday. Any recommendations?

IM Florida is my first IM and I'm not flying til Thursday and don't get in til after registration closed at 4.  I had no idea when I registration that packet pickup wouldn't be available on Friday. So I contacted them and was told that you could register/packet pickup from 9-11 on Friday at the same location.  That didn't publisize it though cause they wanted everyone done on Wed and Thurs.

Hope this helps.
