For the few months leading up to IMC, you could walk on the backs of the swimmers that are doing repeats beteen ironman beach (near the Peach) and the Sicamous. I think if you get there early enough, it can almost feel like the mass swim start on race day.  Okay, maybe not quite, but there are many many triathletes doing their swims every morning.  Not to mention a tri clinic or two can also be found! Yup, been training since September 07 for this year Smiley  The last few months I've been in the pool 2x/week.  I alternate between a 1 hour long continuous swim workout (about 2200M) and a 1 hour set of various intervals (about 2000M total).  I found this website called swimplan.com that I absolutely LOVE - sure makes my interval swims interesting and easy.  I'm looking forward to buying a wetsuit in June and getting into the lakes around here in the summer and practising.  For sure I'll be making a few trips to Penticton to swim and bike prior to August 24.  See ya there!

Ive been thinking about this for years, but after a couple half-marathons in the last half year, I almost fell like I could be within the realm of in-shape enough.

I will monitor this thread with interest.

Its open to the public but costs quite a bit even for a super-basic pass. it starts at 200 or so and reaches nearly 2k. Also its more for pros and aspiring pros, not consumers.
