Hi guys, I am new at this forum. I live in Palm Beach,FL. I am trainning for my next Ironman next June in CDA. I have some questions, first of all is about the bike and run course. Is the bike course pretty hilly(a lot of rolling hills)?? what cassette with you set(11-25??) how about the run course?? I am shooting for Hawaii slots, will see!! my age group is 35-39, so I guess I have to finish around 10h, right?? My last question is about wheels, is that area very windy?? I am planning about setting the 1080 zipp wheelset, is that a good choice?? Thanks in advance!!! Carlos

Hey BOFF! I really liked FL! You don't hear too much about that venue. At least I haven't..besides it is flat. I mean, it was no Madison as far as spectators go. Expect to be really alone on the flat bike course. But the run course had some great spectator energy and, like all IM races, the volunteers were not a stitch disappointing. They always rule.

At La Club today (we blelong to LA Fitness), there were a bunch o' trigeeks at a spin class and we were a chatting. I suggested IM FLA 2010. We are going to try for that. By then the 2 peeps with knee surgery should be heald and in shape, the girl with a hip replacment should be healed and in shape. the guy that switched to bike racin this year should be able to swim again. I should not be too much closer to a knee replacement. SO for me - mentally - I am in WOO HOO, now I just need to get in financially (either USA will be back on top economically or well lets not think of that:), physically and registrationlly

Pretty violent swim
Fasted IM bike ever for me, screwed up the nutriton and started the run "bonked"
Run - Well I knew it would be a challenge so just hobbled from peep to peep and chatted a bit with them and had a "good" time. Lived on chicken broth and coke for the last 16 miles

I am thinking the Phoenix TriClub had the best aid station ever.

Liked the multiple loops with out and backs. That way you can see the pros rock and roll and get passed by them as they lap you on the bike

Hung with the kitten all weekend. She swung her leg around a pole and I have pictures to prove. On race day she got a bit hung up at bike transition. Appears there was a sign which read "Mount Here" and she thought it meant something else. Have picture of that as well. We climbed camel back mountain and I'm not talking the after markets.

I would like to officially announce the Mile 141 Blue Page Misfit Snowboard Fest 2009!!!!!!!!!!

Tina, Squirrel, JDZ and I are JUST starting to throw dates around. This historic event is usually the 1st weekend in Jan that is not new year's. If you missed the last event you missed a MAJOR good time with a broken sink, a car flying into a snow bank, a single shot of Tuaca split 4 ways and a 4 hour trip down ONE ski run where we thought we lost Jdizz forever.

This trip will be even more historic as DTD is actually going!! After selling his business he has Saturdays off for the 1st time in 10 years.
