I would like to officially announce the Mile 141 Blue Page Misfit Snowboard Fest 2009!!!!!!!!!!

Tina, Squirrel, JDZ and I are JUST starting to throw dates around. This historic event is usually the 1st weekend in Jan that is not new year's. If you missed the last event you missed a MAJOR good time with a broken sink, a car flying into a snow bank, a single shot of Tuaca split 4 ways and a 4 hour trip down ONE ski run where we thought we lost Jdizz forever.

This trip will be even more historic as DTD is actually going!! After selling his business he has Saturdays off for the 1st time in 10 years.

Haha no kidding josef! I WISH I had the other DTK's time! She was faster. But either DTK you look at was a PR for this girl! 13:58 was mine. It was a hell swim for me. Leaky goggles, people throwing bows, drank salt water and got nausea. Then the bike had head winds...so in order to hit my goal of finishing in the 13s I had to haul ass (for me) on the run. Only option. With 7 pee breaks and an ITBand attack - for which I manufactured an IT strap out of my pink race belt! - I averaged 11:23 pace ...which was prolly in the 8 min/ mile range the last 10k! UGH it was hard! I heard Mike in the distance "we are approaching the 14 hr mark" - and I was a mile out! I hauled and just as I saw the Ford arch I heard "3 mins left in the 13 hour" and I about died. 13:58:44. OMG! I worked 4 that one! I need a beer. However, have to admit 2 IMs back-to-back is not too bad. This was the MOST FUN season EVER!

My poor slow man- freakin 9:34 ...still no Kona. Hard to feel sorry though when he did a 9:34! He had a 4:45 bike! Fastest in M 30-34! Sick. I love him.

One time, at band camp.... (not really) At a Jingle Bell 5k run I went out way too fast, and I'm dying the last mile. I hear heavy footsteps behind me, and I think to myself, Don't get passed. But the footsteps keep getting louder and louder. Finally the footsteps are right behind me, and then...Santa Claus, full costume, beard and all, including big black boots, zips by me like I was standing still.
I was spent, and I had to laugh about it. I got beat by Santa! I bet (at least) 100 people passed me in the last 1/4 mile.

ALF! I heard you had some bad luck this year. (I'm Dave's friend from IMC) I hope all is well, and you'll be back at it next year.

Thought you guys/gals may enjoy this. So last week we go to Cali (sorry Tri Guy, we had a blast and were way busy. did get to Torrey Pines but didn't play and fished from the pier at OB). So while we are gone our neighbor calls and tells us one of ours cat ran away (one of the twin ORANGE tabbies). They proceed to tell us they have to go out of town but left the other 3 cats locked in the basement and left the back door open. I call my elderly neighbors and ask them to close the door which the do. I check the local news and see it is suppossed to snow so I call ST. ST, go to my house and see if the ORANGE tabby came home, let him in and let the other cats out. He calls me a few hours later and says all cats are in. We get home to find a BLACK AND GRAY cat in our house that isn't ours.. Orange Tabby...Black and Gray cat.. What's the difference? Our cat eventually came home when it heard my daughters voice.

I love IMC. As I've posted before, I am very passionate about IMC. For me the race is special because the people of Penticton, OK Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos, Keremeos, etc., love supporting IMC. They encourage us to endure and enjoy an epic course in one of the most beautiful valleys on Earth. And one Sunday each August we're allowed the chance to suck the marrow out of life, and reaffirm who we are. For me, it doesn't get much better than that!

SO I got in a little car accident on Friday but I am a-ok. some 18 year old girl ran a red light and hit me gong 35ish (along with my 15mph) my car is totaled. I am super sore because of my air-bag going off and hitting me in the stomach when I went forward. She hit me on the passenger side so I hit the door on the driver’s side so my left side of my body is sore. Just some bruises no broken bones!!
Im pissed about my car because it was only a 2006 with 14,000 miles on it. I also had 0% interest for 6 years...so I am a little mad!! But glad I am ok...it could have been worse!
